As each day goes by my eyesight is improving After all these years (49 in fact) I can get by without the need for glasses or contact lenses. Dr Palliet has said that it will take a month for my eyes to settle and after just a week the results are unbelievable. The service I received from Tullia and Leslie Law was second to none.
I was so impressed with the quality of care I received from the clinic in Calais, Dr Palliet showed the type of personal care which seems to have disappeared from the NHS.
As part of the procedure it was necessary for me to see a cardiologist, having suffered problems eight years ago with my heart this was a bonus, I had an ECG and other tests and the doctor suggested my present medication be altered, which has been done since returning home.
The operation to insert the multi-focal lenses was completely painless with only slight discomfort, believe me it was slight as I don't like pain - I slept fairly well, when I woke up I couldn't believe what I could see. For the first time in my life I could see my watch, everything was sharp (very emotional) If you consider that my eyesight was -7.75 with astigmatisms then you will realise how helpless I was (yes WAS) without glasses, in fact I was receiving free eye tests. To top it all, no marks or bruising
Dr Palliet came to see me and told me what to expect and how the operation had gone and we arranged to meet the following day before returning home.
I am on the usual medication for three more weeks then that will be it, no need for glasses, lenses in fact I will never develop cataracts either
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Tullia and Leslie, it was a pleasure to spend time with you. Your care and help will not be forgotten When we return (Xmas shopping) we will meet up for a meal.
Finally to Dr Palliet....A gentleman. He makes his patients feel at ease, you know after meeting him that you are in excellent hands, I cant praise him any higher
This testimonial is given freely and I am happy to share my experiences with anyone who is considering taking the plunge
